Introducing the NERA: A new range of Automowers coming to Zimbabwe
Husqvarna Automowers have been proven to improve the health and quality of lawns in Zimbabwe. While most people overlook them due to their perceived high initial cost, these robotic lawnmowers are actually cheaper to own over a five-year period than petrol lawnmowers and brushcutters. Now, Cutting Edge has launched the NERA; a new range of Automowers in Zimbabwe.
These improved autonomous mowers are just as eco-friendly as their chargers can run on regular solar inverters, but they now have improved specs, performance and connectivity. Robotic mowing technology takes another leap with the introduction of the new Automower NERA line. These models incorporate state-of-the-art technologies into the heritage of Husqvarna’s famous Automowers.

The new NERA range brings several changes
The most obvious change is cosmetic; the design of the NERA range is more modern. Like cars, cosmetic changes can also improve functionality and keep things fresh. However, under the skin, the NERA range boasts several changes too. Most notably, the NERA range does away with the need for boundary wires. Now, digital boundaries can be defined on the app, and your mower will never stray outside this virtual box. This saves on the cost of the wire and human labour for its installation.
These Automowers also have an improved capacity to manage intricate lawns – they can easily manoeuvre around trees, flowerbeds, and other obstacles thanks to their enhanced navigation and obstacle avoidance features. Some NERA models have also seen improvements in battery life, which enable longer mowing sessions and less frequent recharge. This guarantees that, even in bigger or more challenging settings, your lawn will be regularly maintained.

The NERA range comes with more options for systematic mowing. The old range could perform spiral cuts for circular lawns, starting at the centre and slowly driving in circles outward to the edge of the lawn. The NERA range now allows owners to cut in parallel tracks to create an aesthetic striped effect on the grass. There are several other pattern types to choose from, too.
The NERA line also features notable enhancements in ownership and usability. Setting up mowing plans, adjusting settings, and keeping track of the mower’s progress is now simpler thanks to the updated user interface on the Automower Connect app. With improved connectivity features, you can use the app to remotely operate and monitor your lawnmower and receive real-time alerts and updates.
This app allows owners to create multiple zones for greater control. Features such as the Automower FlexiFence, Area Switch and Temporary Fence enable you to establish no-go zones for your Automower if you’re digging up pipes, planting trees or have children playing in part of the garden.
